New York, NY
Bio: In New York, "What do you do?" is one of the first questions people tend to ask. To put it simply, I'm a PR consultant by day, a dance critic by night and a tango dancer by midnight. My lifelong love affair with dance began at age three, when a homemade VHS tape of Baryshnikov's Nutcracker inspired me to start taking ballet. Having trained with top academies, teachers and companies throughout the US, I now write dance reviews and profiles for The Huffington Post, EDGE New York and Dancepulp.com. This blog is intended to serve as a home for these writings — on dance, and a few other topics that have inspired me to pick up the pen along the way. I write my stories by night, but by day, I work as a PR consultant who specializes in helping companies and individuals tell their own stories more effectively. I hold a bachelor's degree from McGill University, where I majored in philosophy and political science, and a master's in strategic communications from Columbia University. When I'm not working, I enjoy dancing tango, practicing yoga, cooking healthy-ish food, traveling the world and exploring New York City — the place I feel lucky to call home.
